2012 Second Mortgage Interest Rate Forecast

With the debt crisis looming and the housing sector still upside down, the 2nd mortgage forecast looks bleak in 2012. There are a few private money lenders that are discussing several new home equity loan programs that will be released soon. Today interest rates on 1st and 2nd mortgages remains at record levels, but many believe that will change soon as the Federal Reserve has hinted at future rate hikes. Exactly how much the Fed rate hikes will affect second mortgage interest rates is not known at this time.
